Brazil Receives Spot LNG Cargo From Nigeria at Guanabara Bay

Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PETR4), Brazil’s sole importer of liquefied natural gas, received a spot cargo from Nigeria, ship-tracking data show.

The Golar Seal, with a capacity of 155,000 cubic meters, arrived yesterday at Guanabara Bay near Rio de Janeiro, according to transmissions captured by IHS Fairplay on Bloomberg. It was scheduled to dock Jan. 20, the data show. The tanker sailed from Nigeria LNG Ltd.’s Bonny Island facility, where it reloaded the supercooled fuel and departed Jan. 9.
