UAE Takes Another Step in Nuclear Energy Programme

The United Arab Emirates wants to build two more nuclear units in the Abu Dhabi desert to meet the country’s growing energy demands, the UAE’s The National newspaper reported Friday (March 1st).
Government-owned Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) said Friday it has submitted a bid to the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) to obtain a license to construct the third and fourth nuclear power plants in the country.
