Abu Dhabi Strikes Oil in New North Sea Field

Taqa and Fairfield Energy have found oil in two wells since starting drilling in November at the Darwin field near the Shetlands.
Taqa bought a half stake in the area in early 2012, while Fairfield owns the rest.
Leo Koot, boss of Taqa’s UK oil and gas business, said: “This discovery proves the North Sea still has great potential.”
