Mexico's Pemex Discovers New Oil, Gas Deposit
From Reuters
Mexico’s state oil company Pemex on Monday said it has discovered a new deposit along the southern Gulf coast where an exploratory well is now producing 3,700 barrels of oil per day.
The first well, located 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) from the city of Comalcalco in Tabasco state, is also producing 8 million cubic feet of gas a day.
The well will allow Pemex to increase production in the region and adds value to nearby areas that are seen to have similar conditions, the company said in a statement.
