Reuters reported that South African thermal coal cargoes for April delivery continued to find buyers on Monday as part of apparent restocking by utilities
According to data from brokers, April cargoes changed hands at USD 86.50 per tonne based on 100,000 tonnes of trade, up from USD 86.30 at the previous close
South African coal was at USD 84.00 per tonne tonne for February delivery, compared with Thursday’s settlement of USD 84.20.
European coal into Amsterdam/Rotterdam/Antwerp (DES ARA) for delivery in February was bid at USD 88.00 and offered at USD 88.25, compared with a previous settlement of USD 87.60 per tonne.
