Peru Seeks More Studies of Small and Medium-Sized Hydro Projects

Peru’s energy and mines ministry invites expressions of interest from consultants to develop socio-environmental studies for small and medium-sized hydropower projects in Peru. Responses are due November 30.
In a separate solicitation, the Direccion General de Electrificacion Rural of the Ministerio de Energia y Minas extended the deadline for expressions of interest from consultants to perform technical and economic pre-feasibility studies of small and medium-sized hydro projects. Those responses now also are due November 30.
With funding from the World Bank’s International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the ministry is implementing a rural electrification program including hydropower.
