Ukraine Starts Gas Shipments to Europe

KIEV, Ukraine, Nov. 7 (UPI) — The Ukrainian prime minister said his country started preliminary natural gas deliveries to European consumers this month.

“Yes, we have started such shipments, they are not large, but they have started,” the Interfax news agency quoted Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov as saying.

Interfax points to a separate report published by Argus Media stating Ukrainian natural gas company Naftogaz and Germany’s RWE signed a contract for the preliminary delivery of about 35 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
