TAPI Gas Pipeline Gets Tremendous Response From IFIs

The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) Gas Pipeline Project has received tremendous positive response from multinational and financial institutions.

In a notable development, the State Bank of India participated during the TAPI road show in Singapore. TAPI aims to export up to 33 billion cubic metres bcm) of natural gas per year through a proposed approximately 1,800-kilometre pipeline from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The estimated cost of the project is $7.6 billion based on pre-feasibility study done by PENSPEN, says a press release issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources.
