Feds Move Forward With Maine Offshore Wind

The federal government is proceeding with an environmental impact study and seeking to determine if there are competing interests following a Norwegian company’s proposal for a deep-water wind turbine pilot project 12 miles off the coast of Maine.
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management is seeking public comment on environmental issues related to the so-called Hywind Maine proposal by Statoil North America.
