Global Solar Installations Increase Due To Government Policies

Solar installations in 2012 will continue to be affected by government policies, according to Taiwan”s Photonics Industry & Technology Development Association (PIDA).
According to PIDA, first-quarter 2012 installations in Germany reached 1,969.4MW because customers rushed to complete projects before the April 1 incentive cuts. The first quarter installations showed an on-year growth of 283% compared to 513.2MW installed in first-quarter 2011. Installations in Germany are likely to reach 3.5-4GW in first-half 2012.
