Thousands March In Tokyo Against Nuclear Power
From Chosun Ilbo
Thousands of people in Tokyo have marched on Japan’s parliament to demand a ban on nuclear power.
The demonstrators encircled the Diet building Sunday evening with candlelight in a peaceful rally to demand the government of Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda abandon nuclear power. Two reactors were restarted earlier this month, despite safety worries after the multiple meltdowns at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant last year.
