The cost of finding commercial oil reserves in Uganda is less than one US dollar a barrel compared with global trends, thus justifying increased investor appetite for petroleum exploration licences in the country, says an official.
“On the global scale, the cost ranges between five and 25 USD per barrel,” says Ernest Rubondo, the Commissioner of the Petroleum and Exploration Department.
