India, China In Pact For Exploring Oil, Gas Assets

China’s largest government-owned energy firm, China National Petroleum Corp, (CNPC) and India’s biggest state-run oil and gas explorer Oil and natural Gas Corp (ONGC) have joined hands and signed an agreement to jointly explore oil and gas assets overseas.
With the ongoing upsurge in global oil prices affecting the economies of both India and China, the two largest oil importing nations in Asia have come together in their quest for energy security.
