Jordan's Parliament Suspends Plans For Nuclear Reactors

The demonstrators, who repeatedly called on the government to resort to alternative energy such as solar energy and wind energy instead of nuclear energy, said the creation of nuclear reactors will harm the environment.

Jordan’s lower house on Wednesday voted for suspending the country’s plans to build nuclear reactors until necessary fund is available and feasibility studies are completed, state-run Petra news agency reported.
